Rainbow

Today I saw a rainbow
But something wasn’t right
The rainbow had no colours
Just shades of black and white

The colours all have faded
It happened long ago
The only thing that’s left now
Is one depressing bow

But rain will still be falling
A symbol of my tears
And all the scary blackness
It represents my fears

The sun will not be rising
This rainbow will remain
So pale, so bleak, so empty
And endless like my pain
