Silence

by Lil Luce   Nov 9, 2004

Words, like the rush of waterfalls would tumble out of my mouth with each letter rushing, fighting to come first.
Every sentence lead my along the winding path to your heart. It lead me deeper and ever closer to you.
Like a whirlpool I waited with baited breath, eager for the next words, the next supply of you.

As I walked along the winding path I began to hear footsteps. Each step echoed out into the silence. The longer we were together the louder the footsteps became.
As the rush of love began to trickle into the pool of nothingness there was nothing left to say.

The words came too soon and lost all meaning. Each sentence splashed out of our hearts and now there is nothing left to hear but silence.
