Raining in my Heart

I look outside and the sun is shining,
there are children playing on the street.
I look up at the clouds but see no silver lining,
the ground is falling beneath my feet.
The summer time is now near,
and the flowers are all in bloom.
But as I sit on the ground and hear,
I listen to the winter blues.
I can see old people nattering,
as I walk along through the park.
I see their radiant smiles, laughing
as they share wisdom on each others behalf.
But no matter how happy the world is around me,
whether it is day or night, light or dark.
The world is but a backdrop surrounding me,
It is raining in my heart.
