Questionably Broken

My battle with time is finally over
I’m overwhelmed to have you by my side
But simultaneously I feel the same pain
Questionably broken, still having to hide

Suppressed depression still seeps through
Knowingly how much it’s despised
Even though you have returned home
My ugly, battered soul still cries

Those late nights I spent crying
I surly thought would leave
Instead they still haunt my night
My mind is the one they do deceive

This complicates my whole being
My every breath is for you
And yet I still feel so useless
Like nothing I do can be true

I've tried everything for relief
There's no cure for my sickness
I’m just another lost soul
Drifting in and out of consciousness
