It wasn't you

by Amanda   Nov 17, 2004

He wants something from her
Something she won’t give.
Something close to her heart
Hopefully it will remain to always live.

Can’t he see the pain is too strong,
Can’t he see that he’s making it nothing but wrong.

Drawn between the two
What should she do?
She loves him but also her own beliefs their the only thing in life,
There the reason she wants to live.

Overtaken by his loving experienced voice
“Everything will be fine” but she soon realized that he was only playing with her mind.

She lost the only thing that was her own
Taken by him on his face a sly selfish grin.

Why did she do it?
She has no idea
But somehow the answer was right under her noise.

Well now in life there’s nothing left for her
No reason to live
For she lost the only thing
She wanted not to give.

But hopefully this mistake of fate
Won’t stop her from realizing
It was him who will get hurt.
It was him who made the wrong

She just happened to be there
And fell for his fake song.
