When Your Not Here

by David Rethoret   Nov 18, 2004

When you’re not here,
I’m not even half me,
Ripped apart,
Lost and aimless,
Left with your intoxicating smell,
A few loose strands of hair,
Like my fix,
My drug is you,
My life is you,
When you’re not here,
My life doesn't excist,
I’m a zombie,
Searching for my thought,
My heart that walked out the front door,
Calmed by your eyes,
Soothed by your touch,
Lulled by your voice,
I’m forever yours,
My heart in your hands
And you forever in my heart.

Me again!! Once in a while a person writes stuff that totally moves me. I just been reading "solitude...." and all your other stuff: its so moving and deep.

That poem is wonderful. Your must be utterly, completely in love with this person to be able to express your love in these words.
