My Only Hope

Leaking roof
in a broken home,
Everyone’s there
but I’m all alone.

A glass is thrown
it hits the chair,
I want to leave
but I wouldn’t dare.

Pretending my “life”
is going okay,
When really I’m lucky
to see another day.

But no matter what
this is what I say:
Alpha, Omega
my one and all,
Beginning and End
where I run and where I fall.
If I can keep up hope
until I can be free,
I’m not just doing it for Him...
I’m doing it for me.
