Almost Yesterday

by Kylie   Nov 18, 2004

Voices fading in and out
distant, desperate screams and shouts
don’t know where it’s coming from
a chill crawls up my spine when I see there’s no one...

Uncertain of where my future goes
if I don’t know
then can anyone know?
Where my joys and disappointments lay...
Better hurry up,
it’s almost yesterday.

Clouds roll upon a once vibrant sun
proving once again
in the end there’s no one.

Tears are streaming down your face
like a river that won’t run...
People that love you
all over the place,
But still you know
In the end there’s no one.
I feel like I did
when I was a kid,
wanting to go out and play.
But I can’t take too long
putting play clothes on,
because its still Almost Yesterday.
