Struggle

by Ryan Linton   Nov 19, 2004

At the bottom of this mountain,
Everything is as it seems,
I start to climb these cliffs
My head is filled with all these dreams.

As I get a little higher,
a little closer to the top
I continue climbing,
never wanting to stop.

Now I see these vallies,
the cities and the hills,
I have a new found understanding,
throughtout my body I now feel chills.

My decent continues onward,
I progress up through the clouds,
My heart starts beating a little faster,
Far below, tiny are the crowds.

The air must be thining,
or you took away my breath.
Now I can see the summit,
I\'ve never felt more alive than I do today.

As I touch this peak it hit me,
and I turn around to see,

The further that I ventured
and the higher that I crawl,
The harsher all the risks,
the more fatal is the fall.

Now I stand here,
everything in sight,
I try to take it all in,
experience love tonight.

So I\'ll enjoy it while I have it
and pray that it\'s not fleeting,
as I stand here on this summit
and thatnk God for our meeting.
