Broken Mirror

by Ryan Linton   Nov 19, 2004

In my life I have seen so many things,
but this would have bafled even the greatest kings.
to most it looks ordinary,
when in truth is is extrordinary.
To the naked eye it is a plain mirror,
but it\'s not plain, and for you I fear.

It is broken, it is shattered,
Although it should it doesn\'t flatter.
You don\'t see yourself as it matters.
To others you are amazing, stunning and perfect,
but to you all you see are false defects.
I wish you could understand what I mean,
I wish you could see what I have seen.

I hate this f@#$ing mirror, because of how it makes you feel,
it makes you feel insignificant and worthless, niether of which are real.
It\'s caused you so much grief and pain, I can see it in your eyes,
So I tell you that you\'re beautiful, but you accuse me of lies.
I wish you would cast out his foul mirror, and just lsten to me,
I fear that if you don\'t, than we can never be.
