Angel

Snow Angel
10/30/05

I catch the first one I see on my tongue,
Breath in this air, it chills my lungs.
Then another flutters down, kisses my nose,
I see more of them as a brisk wind blows.
I start to think of you, because of all this snow,
I miss you so much, and I wonder if you know.
Now you are gone so far away, not like I had not tried
To keep you there with me, lying side by side.
Just like that day when you left an impression in the ground,
You are the angel in my mind, although I can not find you around.
I embrace this cold now, as I wish I embraced you,
This longing might just kill me, what else can I do
These flakes gently kiss me in such a tender way,
I want to see you again, I wonder what you would say.
So sweet and pure and eloquent, my angel you remain,
Without my snow angel, all I feel is pain.

That was astounding! You wrote so eloquently that I was stuned for a minute. The imagery you used put a definite picture in my mind and I almost feel as if your pain was my pain. I am going to read everyone of your poems, you are amazing.
