Second Chance

by Jacki   Nov 21, 2004

When I'm standing in the middle
Of the pouring rain
I take my hand pull my hair back
Placing it out of my face
Letting the rain drip down into the
Creases of my lips
Tasting the wetness like
Salt less tears running down my cheek
My body screams in agony
Everything starts coming apart
My life seems separated to the
Things I once believed
I fall to my knees clasping my
Hands together while lightings
Thrashes around my praying body
I feel my heart pounding
Every prayer longer than the next
Just let the angel take me
HEAVEN take me
I've done so much wrong
I've become the joke you read about
This is not a dream, this is my life
The wind picks up speed
Trees begin to clatter there sticks
As if clapping there hands at my
Prayers to god
They laugh at me making a scene
In the middle of the street
My dress drenched
My cheeks smeared with black
My mascara is running
My body jerks intensely with
The power of electricity flowing
Through my veins
The cross I wear melting upon my chest
My hands Locked together
But my angel made the wrong turn
For I woke up in the hospital bed
And just closed my eyes
I suppose it wasn't my time.
