The Sidelines

by Jacklyn   Nov 22, 2004

Watching from a distance,
Keeping from a far,
Dreaming with young hope,
Wishing with the stars,
With hope we ever meet,
Within this life time,
Your eyes have seen so much,
Your heart hit with a dagger,
Your soul has been weighed down,
Your smiles have been turned to frowns,
You always speak your mind,
No matter how many disagree,
You always face reality,
You take on responsibility,
You’re funny and wise,
You deal with stress and lies,
At least more then most people who sit on the sidelines,
The world seems to watch you with both eyes,
Gossip and rumors fallow you throughout your lonely life,
Hated and loved,
Seems to be split,
Your personal life is hell,
Drowning in tears,
As the world sits as a witnesses,
The world sits on the sidelines as you go on stage,
All eyes are focused on you,
To see what you have to say,
This is what you go through day after day,
With a million fans screaming your name,
Saying how they love you and hope you look their way,
While the other side of the story you face protesters of hate,
They don’t like you because of what you say,
But I think it’s just because they can’t handle,
The fact that you use your freedom of speech,
And you make some points that need to be heard,
They don’t like the fact that you say things,
That might change the human’s ways,
They can’t handle the idea that things may need to change,
But you stay center stage,
As we sit on the sidelines,
All screaming your name,
Weather it is for dreams or hate,
As we sit here,
Dreaming with young hope,
Keeping from a far,
Watching from a distance,
Wishing to the stars.

~ya ok i know it is weird and isn't my best ~
