She and I

by Aymon F   Nov 22, 2004

She’s moved on
I still haven’t
She’s found another
I want no new lover.
She’s now happy
I am always sappy.
She’s beautiful
I am stuck; indisputable.

I am alone
She’s got a joyful tone
I live in a shadow
She has an excited glow
I drag my feet, head to the ground
She has no worries, no sadness to be found
I have been abandoned twice in this mix
She doesn’t even know I exist

I need her ways every day
She knows me less every breath

I talk to her online
She says “I’m fine”
I sit and wait for more
She already ended our rapport
I ask her of her new man
She brightens up and tells me more than I can stand

She seems to have no memory
Of all our times
Of all our glee
I sit here writing pointless rhymes
Only to sink Deeper
Meeker
Weaker
Low to the ground
Lost
And never found
