A winter’s peace

by Michael D Nalley   Nov 23, 2004

With a sugarcoat whisper, wings of heaven touch the earth
Sounds of singing angels that is what the winter will bring
A time of thanksgiving for a pure sweet season of mirth
North winds whistle as celestial choirs joyfully sing
All of the seasons must come and go, yet, they are not lost
The crystalline beauty smiles again with a peaceful glow
While we all remember December, and taste the cold frost
Everything sleeps serenely beneath the fallen snow
