At Night

by Mollie   Nov 23, 2004

She sleeps with the lights off,
Cause she’s afraid of what she’ll see,
Just block everything else out,
Only to see her peaceful dreams.

But she loves the lightning ,
And how it lights up the night sky,
But she hates the thunder,
And its sound that interrupts the night.

But when it bolts through the room,
She hates the shadows that fill the night,
She’s not afraid of the dark,
But when its night she hates the light,

She sleeps with the lights off,
Cause she’s afraid of what she’ll see,
Just block everything else out,
Only to see her peaceful dreams.

But she loves the moonlight,
And how it flows through her room,
But she hates when it overflows,
When it lights up her whole room.

When it randomly dances around,
It keeps her up to late through the night,
She’s not afraid of the dark,
But when its night she hates the light.

She sleeps with the lights off,
Cause she’s afraid of what she’ll see,
Just block everything else out,
Only to see her peaceful dreams.
