I Opened My Eyes

Sometimes I wonder why I always treated you so bad
you always cared for me and made sure I never felt sad
No matter how much pain I put you through
you always treated me nice and you knew what to do
in your mind every time we got together it would not be the same
but somehow I always was the one to blame
I was always afraid of the unknown future ahead
that I never listened to my heart only my head
people told you, you were stupid for taking me back
but we both missed each other for a sure fact
finally I opened my eyes and I knew I loved you
but then I really didn’t know what to do
So I told you the truth about me
telling you my fears and you just saying how could that be
you told me my fears were a lie because they weren’t true
but you assured me you still loved me and to not be blue
I then said if we got together one last time
that I knew my heart would be perfectly fine
you gave me the chance with your cute smile
and I knew our love would grow for miles
we’ve been together for not even a week
and everyday has been a special treat
all I can say is I LOVE YOU
