Scared of commitment

This isn't my best poem. i was just writing what i was thinking. I really need to work on this one some more but please let me know what you think of it so far.

You say you'll love
me for the rest of time
but because your mom and dad
divorced when you were nine
you can't marry me
and your words should be
commitment enough

We have lived together
four amazing years
i promise to love you
and work through the tears
nothing comes easy but
with love we can make it

So baby please change
your mind cuz
i want to make this
all right by
making my name
