I thought It Would Stop

After I told my friend
She betrayed me
She told someone else what I had done

She told someone else that I had attempted suicide
That day my mom got a phone call
She found out what I had done

She questioned me about it in a rather unpleasant manner
I was scared
I told my best friend what happened

She was the only one I told
I didn't know what my mom would do
Would she send me to Meadows?

That would have been horrible.
I would have run away
I don't care what they say

I thought things would get better
Since mom knew what I had done
But I don't think she knew it was her fault

She should
Because it was her fault
I wouldn't have done it otherwise

I want to escape
To get away
And never see her again
