Today

Daddy drinks
while into depression she slowly sinks.
mama screams
yelling things she couldn't mean
she sits on her bed
thoughts of suicide run through her head.
silent tears stream down her face
and she stares into the empty space
she knows she cant go on like this
she realizes she'll never get her first kiss
she closes the door
she takes the pills
she falls to the floor
knowing never again will she think about her parents unpaid bills.
she cut herself for the last time today
for her parents mistakes her life
was the price to pay.
