Waiting all along...

Shes been used,
shes been abused.
She fell in love
just to fall right down again.
It didn't matter she loved him so,
either way he was going to go.
He said wait for me,
and maybe I'll come back.
She smiled through her tears
and never gave up hope.

Years went by
tears she continues to cry.
Because he hasn't come back,
no call, no nothing.
She waits, she doesn't give up hope
she has kept waiting,
and this he knows.
He's been with many girls
since her. He sees her in each of there eyes.
He finds he's missing her,
and he's just so surprised.

She feels so helpless now,
so alone,
after there forever was cut to a short end. After the day he said they would stay friends.
She feared she didn't do all she could have done,
to make him happy...
to let him know he was the one.
She was so afraid it was her fault
they were apart... and
maybe her I love yous never
really reached his heart.

After so many years
she still loves him so,
she misses him so much...
but shes got to let him go.
Although It breaks her heart,
and It's killing her inside
She takes down every picture
and for the last time...
she cries!

After the years went by,
and month by month of faded days. The past is so blurry,
he's starting to forget her face... he's just now realizing, and starting to regret. He doesn't like,
the way things are now...
he knows he needs her
and longs to get to her somehow.

He just can't deny,
he's relentlessly sad..
he digs up her pictures
in the jewelry box that she had.
He takes them out...
one by one...
thinking of all the memories
that are all now so done.
He stares at them deep..
as a tear rolls down his face...
for once he cannot hide his pain...
and he cries himself to sleep.

He's been wrong
so many times,
so many mistakes... too many lies.
He didn't know,
he'd miss her so.
He wanted out,
and he let her go.
He figured she'd be waiting all along. It turned out,
his assumption was all wrong.

He went back to her,
and fell to his knees...
"I'm In love with you, take me back I plead." She looked at him,
couldn't help but cry...He was the one she loved, finally staring into her eyes. But shes moved on,
she can't go back...
shes finally over him,
he can't see why...
she said she'd wait,
until the day she'd die.
But she couldn't do that
she had to move on...

They were destined together
there love was so great,
some would have
even called it fate.
But loving him,
couldn't keep them together.
Even after he promised
he'd love her forever.
He left her to have a little fun,
he thought that she would wait,
but now she's done!
