Katie

by Michael   Dec 2, 2004

Back in the days,
When I was all alone.
It felt as if it was a haze,
Because all I ever did was complain and moan.

If I ever did anything I would just wander,
Thinking if this was all it would be like.
I started to get mad so I started to ponder,
If it would forever just be me, Mike.

Then I caught wind of a mystery girl,
Who was of stunning looks.
All I heard was rumors,
That she had the knowledge from hundreds of books.

I awaited the day we would meet,
Because I had never encountered a girl like this.
I waited patiently for the amazing feat,
Cause it would change me more than my first kiss.

The second I laid eyes on you,
It was as if my soul was stirred.
It was all true,
All that I had heard.

Now that I know you more supplementary,
I actually think that this could be love.
I feel as if I have finally been set free,
It feels as if I could fly like a dove.

This all may sound dumb,
But this is how if feel.
It’s as if my whole body is numb,
And it’s hard to deal.

When I don’t have you by my side,
Or I don’t have your voice in my head.
It is as if I have died,
While I was lying in my own bed.

This is how I feel,
About the mystery girl named Katie.
To me you’re a huge deal,
And I just wanted to let you know how I feel.
