Amazing Sounds

(not sure if I'm done with it yet, wanted to post it and see what y'all thought, i dunno if it sounds done)

You know what I think
Is the greatest sound
When little footsteps
Tread all over the ground

To sit in my chair
And hear the pitter-patter
Of little feet running
No longer does anything else matter

Listening to the footsteps
As down the hall they run
Seeing the rays of light hit them
As they play out in the sun

To hear them laughing
And their screams of joy
Even the angry shouts
As they fight over a toy

It makes me smile
When those sounds reach my ears
They make everything better
And cast out all fears

There's something about a child
Being so careless and free
That pushes aside the world of worries
And brings a life of tranquility

Its amazing how the simple sounds
Such as a squeal of delight
Laughter as they play or even a giggle
Can make everything all right
