Too Late...

by Natalie Forest TL   Dec 11, 2004

Hearts break,
Memories last,
Pain in your present,
Loneliness in your past.

Tears cried,
Bruises made,
Eventually go away
But the pain never fades.

Rainbows and burtterflies,
To me don't exist,
A world left behind
I wish I could have fixed.

Walked out,
Left quick,
I finally took,
My last punch and kick.

Too late,
Too slow,
Badly hurt,
Too Emotionally low.

Battered up,
Feeling like death,
Trying to take in,
My very last breaths.

Bleeding hard,
Losing grip,
Watching the blood,
From my head drip.

Can't see,
Only the light,
I'm leaving soon.
But I put up a fight.

He won, Or did he?
As he smiles away,
But it was me who wished death,
Since the very first day.

Killed by him,
Gone forever,
But in this place,
I feel so much better.

Home at last,
In peace I rest,
He did me a favor,
Yet he'd never have guessed...
