Canoeing, Not for me.

by Ashlee Nicole   Dec 12, 2004

Sitting in these little buckets.
Paddles in our hands.
A boat made of barrels,
Built by common man.

Very uncomfortable,
Boards across our ass.
Bumping into others,
Then watching people pass.

Going down the tunnel,
Then nearly hitting a tree.
God damn we had fun,
With four this time, not three.

Simple as we thought,
Much harder then it seemed.
Falling in the river.
Your boat floating downstream.

Trying to get up,
Then falling in the rocks.
Tumbling down the river.
With no shoes or socks.

Getting out to help you,
Then falling down myself,
Scratching up my side,
I was only trying to help.

Then three hours later,
We finally got to stop.
Thinking it was over,
Yet learning it was not.

Just to eat some food,
Then continue to head on.
We were only HALF WAY!
All our energy was gone.

We then started to whine,
And conitnue to complain.
Yes we wanted to have fun,
But this was INSANE!

Then two more hours down,
We heard some funny sounds.
It was Jen and Tasha,
They were allready on ground!

So unfair it was,
It took us so damn long,
As we were in our buckets,
That's where we first went wrong.

hey you guys you're my girls! Ya know I love ya and we had a blast on that trip! Paddles up!
