On the day the heavens cried.

by Poppy   Dec 12, 2004

The wind carries the howls of pain,
Far across the land in vein,
For no one cares enough to help,
For no one cares enough to help.

The fires of sorrow burn high and strong,
Taking away all with an evil song,
And yet no one helps, the pitiful widow,
And yet no one helps, the mournful girl.

And the waters drown away the light,
And left her in forever night,
Leaving her be alone and scared,
Leaving her be alone.

And the earth lies barren beneath her feet,
Stabbing stones and pebbles poke,
The innocent child,
Who lay awoke.

The elements frighten, dark and there,
Fighting with what she bear,
Frightened, alone with no one to help,
She walked in darkness. Weak and soaked.

No folk will help, if she falls,
All leave her there,
With her sores,
For no one dares to help her up.

She be the child of a witch,
She be the child of monsters strong,
She be the child of an evil witch,
She carries the child of a witch.

For God hath spoken,
For God hath said,
This be the daughter of a witch,
Before she gives birth to a witch.

O hark Gods words,
Kill the witch,
O hark Gods words,
Kill the witch.

And she cries out in pain,
As they whip her in vein,
And she cries out in lust,
As they cry out, die she must!

Be she innocent,
Not they care,
They see a threat,
That they can’t bear.

Kill the witch they chant,
Kill the witch they scream,
As heaven opens,
And the rain pours.

On the day they went to hell,
On the day their children fell
On the day the witch died,
On the day the heavens cried.

Who was the greater evil?
Who here sinned?
To kill is a sin,
She just lived on a whim

Lost her love,
Her child soon to come,
God watched and cried,
As alone she died.

What have his children done?
Forgotten everything,
His son died in vain,
So this girl can die in pain.

And every day we ask,
WHERE ARE YOU GOD???
He’s crying, watching.
His children are killing each other.
