Thorns

by courtney   Dec 12, 2004

Now I wait here alone in this vine
A torn in the threshold of majesty’s time
Watching as the flowers begin to bloom
One of them I imagine as wonderful as you
But the torn has the hate the flower must hold
An inconvenient wonder of stories untold
The shadow I stand in hovers over your face
The peddles of promise and love fade from their lace
A piece of my heart fails to live on
Now I fear that I will soon be gone
Wishes of wanting to be as happy as you
But knowing that you are unhappy too
You are deceitful and had me fooled
Drowning in lies as I watch my heart be cooled
Frozen at a point where love is not felt
All because you look at me as a bad card you were dealt
Can you not see the pain in my eyes?
The pain your have caused by your useless pride.
