The Mirror

by BlackRose   Dec 12, 2004

She sees a reflection, staring back,
Cold, gray eyes...
Tears streaking her beautiful face,
Her heart it cries...

She has beauty, but notices it not,
Everyone envies her so...
But no one really truly knows her,
Or about the pain that does not show...

Does any one truly love her,
Does any one really care...
Does any one care to understand,
Why no one is ever there...

She stares into the mirror,
And sees her hidiouse cuts...
The razor drawn drawings,
All made when she gave up...

The mirror, oh how it mocks her,
And tells her more of its lies...
Outside she is fighting the truth,
But on the inside she just dies...

One more day, One more cut,
Will this time she succeed?
Or will the mirror continue its way,
And on its prey will it feed...
