wearing my favorite shirt and smiling,
the sun shines so bright,
I'm being blinded by the lite,
i watch the cars pass by,
but yours hasn't yet caught my eye,
I've been waiting all week to see you,
i can't wait to share my stories with you,
it's getting later in the day,
you still haven't come to play,
daddy i want to see you but your not here,
i can't see you when your way out there,
the smile isn't on my face anymore,
i thought i was going to see someone i adore,
but i only hear that person's voice now,
telling me he can't come now,
he says tomorrow he'll try,
as i hang up the phone i start to cry,
i had the perfect day planned,
