My Love

by Your eyeliner is laughable   Dec 14, 2004

You are the one,
I suspect,
As you scratch at my door with claws of sculpted night,
Well, Don't stand their in the freezing depths of winter,
Although I know you feel nothing,
Enter,
You stand here,
Dignified yet mysterious,
though your face has been lashed by the autumnal wind of centuries,
Though your ears have heard the cries of thousands,
Though your eyes have seen that which is unnuterable,
Your mouth has tasted the blood of many virgins and your lips,
You lips which have kissed the demons which have thrice crawled out of hell to beg your glance,
I look at you,
I wonder,
Have you woken every day screaming out for me,
I have called for you,
Dignified yet mysterious,
Although your whole existenca has been leading up to this beautifully silent moment.
I finally behold the one I have seen in so many dreams,
Faceless then,
The one I thought was forever beyond my reach,
You have found me,
So many nights we have been under the same moon, the same stars which twinkled in the velvet caress of the incomparable night,
So many nights we have yearned for each other.
Carried along in the seasons of years that bind mortals and carry us along the tides of time,
When darkness holds your every thought,
When the fog is lifted and you see the world,
You know everything.
I stand before you,
My love.
