Rain

by rene   Dec 14, 2004

Rain rain keeps pouring down
never never reaches the ground
rain rain its filling me up inside
I run keep running but nowhere to hide
rain pouring on me faster and faster
beating me down harder and harder
unable to take this constant pain
unable to block this pouring rain
rain rain inside me its over flowing
I choke I'm choking but rain keeps pouring
I cant breath I cant move
I cant say nothing I cant break through
I'm drowning I'm drowning cant you see
the rain the rain its killing me

*i just wanted to know if anyone knew what i was talking about in this poem-its not rain..dose anyone know what I'm REALLY talking about????

WOW! I like this poem, alot! And to answer your question, I don't think it really matters what you were thinking about when you were writing this poem ..... or any other poem for that matter. Maybe it's just me but I think poetry is meant to be interpret differently my everyone, that's why poems like this one are so meaningful and so powerful ..... because the rain you talk about in your poem, it's over powering and it's overwhelming and people interpret that differently(as you can see); For kisses it's pain and stress, for Taylor its stress and negativity, for you maybe it's something completely different. For example, to me the rain in your poem symbolizes me ... the kind of person that I want to be, or the person i don't want to be. So I guess my question to YOU is, what does the rain symbolize to YOU??? Let me know.

Ps ..... i gave you 5/5, it was AMAZING

5/5 I like it a lot, the metaphors you build up throughout the whole poem are great, espacially the turning that at first you want to hide and then the rain is going to kill you is a brilliantly described cumulation in tension. Also I like the structure of your poem, the way you repeat the first words again fit perfectly to the theme you wrote about.

    Lots of Love
    Bye, Sabine

Please, comment and vote on some work of mine, too. That would mean a lot to me. Thanks .
