A silent sufferer

by ~*^*~ longing to belong ~*^*~   Dec 14, 2004

She’s lying on her hospital bed,
Stuck inside her silent head,
Incapable of independence,
Always kept in total suspense,

She never knows what is happening,
Or why the nurses are whispering,
She has no way of communication,
Suffering from complete frustration,

She rolls her aching eyes,
But no-one sees her silent cries,
She’s screaming loud as possible,
But that she’ll make any noise is improbable,

She can’t remember how she got this way,
Is it today, tomorrow or yesterday?
Why is everything so confusing?
Why does she feel she is loosing?

Loosing the will to try and survive,
She’d rather take the final dive,
Than have to face further torment,
To leave this hell is her silent intent.
