You are my friend,
For now and forever,
I wish we were more,
But I will settle for this

I wish I could hold you,
Kiss you,
With soft tender lips,
I wish I could.

I wish I could be more,
More then a friend,
More then just a friend,
But I will settle for this.

I know you will never,
Feel the way I do,
Never care that I love you
Never care for me

I hate seeing you,
Alone with her,
Holding her hand,
But I will not hurt you

I will never let you down,
Like she did,
Never like she did,
But I will settle for friendship.

    I'm sure almost everyone has loved someone who doesn't loved them back. It hurts. Especially to stay friends and watch them with someone else. Hope things get better for you and him.

    As for your poetry skills, I liked the message behind this, very strong topic. My only suggestion is that you make it flow better, it is kind of choppy. Take care, and I look foward to reading more.
