The Forgotten

by John123   Dec 17, 2004

Walking through the blowing wind and the drifting snow
I happen by a place I long to visit, but never go
There are bodies lying peacefully in the frosted ground below
All lived full lives then died, now with nothing to show
Maybe they were told of in heroic stories of ol'
now their lives are farces nobody cares to know
I wander on my way feeling a new depressing low
knowing one day I will be forgotten in the cold ground below
and burried beneath the snow

    Amazing poem Nick!
I like the story it tells! I always wonder about that too and wonder if anyone would think of what I might have been through or something! People usually take for granted the stories behind each death and the people too! Keep 'Em coming!
