Hateful eyes of your shameful regret

by joe   Dec 20, 2004

Burning as the everlasting phoenix
voice deepened with hate of years
beat as i try to speak
and he wonders why i leave

mother was too weak to fight
and to wrong to make right
what point do i have left to make

The cold steel across my face burns like the car engine i was forced to bleed on
the glass left within my arm reminds me of Christmas past

The snow falling once again is as a shadow of my spirit
one by one pieces of it fall to the ground never to take flight or rise again.

as i try to leave you pull me in and with the devilish smile i have become so well to know
you ask me "Son, whats wrong now?"

None the less i speak of the scars and nothing but new ones are born.

I'm the only one who can stand up anymore
as i vow to not swing you take a blade that i was forever fond of

pressed upon my mother's neck
honor becomes blurry
now with a zeal of death
you see the hateful eyes of your shameful regret
