Tragic Ending of a Hero (re-submitted)

“Do you know what you have done?”

”Yes”

”And you know the repercussions of it.”

”I do!”

”Then why in your right mind would you do this?”

”I had to. He deserved it. He took something from my women that could never be returned. He has done it before and he would have done it again?”

”That does not mean you take the law into your own hands. You report it to the police and let them handle it.”

”He would not have gotten the punishment he disserved. I thought death was appropriate punishment for him. He took something that couldn’t be replaced from women so I took something that could not be replaced for him. His life.”

”He did deserve punishment but that is not your job. There are laws placed to punish the wicked.”

”You do not understand. He deserved every cut, every blow I placed upon him. He deserved to die slowly. I do not regret taking from him. He has taken plenty from other women. Your daughter may have been next. You and I well know that he would not have gotten his rightful punishment. I was protecting the women that could not protect themselves and satisfying the vengeance in others. I do not care what happens to my life. I will forfeit my life so that women can feel safer at night. I will die for what I have done. I killed him; I killed the evil that haunted the streets. I deserve to die, that is what our laws say. I am guilty for taking the law into my own hands. Death seems fitting for me.”

”By the state of Maryland we find Elizabeth Schwartz Guilty for the murder in the first degree. Her sentence is Death by execution.”

I give my life to you
All of me is yours
I have died for them
As your son did
I gave them my life
So they could live
I wait here in the dark
Waiting to die for
Whom I will always protect
My heart goes to you

I have sinned
I took the life of a man
But he was not a man
He was a sinner of most sins
He was taking what was not his to take

Forgive me for I have sinned
But I do not regret it
And I do not ask for your forgiveness
I do not want to be forgiven
Because I am glad he is dead
If I am to be cast to hell
Then I will gladly go
But do not forsake me
I did what was right
I was like your Gabriel
And I killed the evil here.

I give you my soul
And I will walk to my death
With my head held high
I will die for what I have done
That is the laws here
I took his very last breathe away
But I know he will not take
A woman’s everything away.

”Do you have anything to say Elizabeth?”

”I do”

”Then speak quickly.”

”I forgive you for what you must do.”

”Today Elizabeth Schwartz died for the murder of [Name]. Her death is unforgivable one. She was a martyr for all women today that have been rapped or abused. Her death will live on in the memory of all the victims that have survived today. She was one woman who did something to stop the evil in the world. Her death today was a shameful one for America. This is Emma Michel’s reporting out.”
