Watching Over You

As these tears roll down her cheeks,
She asks you what went wrong.
Why even when you like her best friend
You won’t give her a chance at all!

You don’t even want to get to know
This wonderful girl.
Sure you “go out with me”,
But you call her more,
Want her more.
Its like I’m just not good enough.

She always feels so pressured
To be someone she was not
To take a fake copy instead of her
She just wants this to stop!

You add to this whole montage,
Not thinking I was good enough for you.
Do you want to make me hate myself?
For who I am? For what I’m not?

She was not afraid of suicide, if it’s her only way out
She is more afraid of the tears of them,
The people who actually cared her
And of her angels watching overhead.

So I slit my wrist and my neck in rows,
And watch the blood flow down
My eyes close, I black out
What a great Christmas present

And she left a note it had said:
“I will wait for you in heaven and
I love you mommy and always will, but
I died for a love I couldn’t have, I'll miss you”

Say goodbye to a girl, one you said you “knew”.
The one that had the key to your heart.
Now I’m with those angels in heaven,
Watching over you.
