Please...My Wings...Fly Me Away

I've wandered too far in this lonely world
Filled with sorrow and despair
I've cut… far too many times
And given up with self care

These broken wings refuse to take me
Away from this horrible place
And now whenever I look in the mirror
I no longer see my own face

So much pain intertwined with fear
Of losing myself to death
For as sad as it sounds, I can’t trust myself
With every baited breath

Why does this world continue to turn?
When everything falls apart
Why am I forced to live in this world?
When I’m holding a bleeding heart

Bloodied pictures caress suicide notes
Once written alone in the night
Hidden alone in a dusty drawer
Along with anger and spite

Is this the right place for me to stay?
When I’m broken and torn in two
I wish to escape every single day
But I never carry it through

And now you’re gone and up above
In that better place…
I hope you’ll wait up there for me
And reserve for me, a space

Begging…crying…down on my knees
Tears…more tears…can’t fight
Please…God…someone…anyone
Please show me the light

And I can’t do this…you’re here…but I know that you’re dead
What’s happening to me now?!
These voices…they just won’t leave my head
Got to get rid of them somehow…

Razor circles spinning alone in the dust
Scarlet fears combining…
With every thing that has happened to me
It’s all now intertwining

Why do you sparkle and fade when I’m here?
Am I really so unwell?
I long to touch you, to feel your voice
But there’s no one left to tell

This isn’t right…falling apart in my own arms
This isn’t the right place to stay…
My mind is torturing me and I can’t hold on…
Please wings fly me away…
