Off You Go

by Toni   Jan 26, 2007

Here you go
With your charming words and smiling lies
Like a Cheshire cat you'll plaster that grin on
No. You're revenge was no real surprise
Don't look shocked it shows your shallow mouth
Entwined with those phrases you know so well
Your matted hair and knotted attitude is all you've got
There's nothing cheaper for you to sell.

There you go
Painting a reflection of yourself in every mirror
Making sure the thick opaque oil covers the truth
Don't hide now. You're secrets just come out.
You out of anyone should know pretences are false
And everything in between is really nothing, at all
But a mirage of different views. It's all so subjective.
You know you're the one I wont call.

Off you go
Those risky syllables that just passed your lips
Are something you know I can't bear to take
Because it comes from you. Disguise your slips
And cover those eyes and maybe you'll rise.
Waltzing across the room, you've not a single care
That day when you came was the day it all mattered
And I already knew it; you would never be there.
