I Don't Want To Live This Life

by Charlotte   Dec 22, 2004

Slit my wrists and cut my throat
Let this blood of mine run free
Leave me here to fade away
I don’t want to live this life

Tie a noose good and tight
Let my breath be stolen from me
Don’t cut me down from this here tree
I don’t want to live this life

These deadly pills run through my veins
Let my body slowly shut down
Don’t pump my stomach empty
I don’t want to live this life

Sink to the bottom of my watery grave
Let my lungs fill with liquid death
Don’t try and breathe life into me
I don’t want to live this life

Standing high atop the building
Let me take this leap into the next world
Don’t try and stop me from taking my last step
I don’t want to live this life

Turn the key and let the gas flow free
Let me suffocate in this metal casket
Don’t try and let the fresh air in
I don’t want to live this life

So many ways could I take my own life
Let me die so I can leave this place I hate
Don’t try and prolong my inevitable fate
I don’t want to live this life

very good...all I have to say is please don't take you're life. I tried...i swallowed a bottle of tylenol. But now that I survived I realize how important life is and how lucky i am to be alive. Keep writing....you're poems are amazing
