Christmas Time Is Supposed To Be A Happy Time

by Hannah   Dec 24, 2004

The house decked with Decoration
Everyone headed here for their Christmas vacation
Ornaments hung Carols are sung
Hot chocolate is made
The turkey is cooked
We watch each float in the Christmas parade
The holiday spots are booked
Christmas eve party
Everyone is hearty

Last minute shopping
Trying to find that perfect Christmas Tree topping

Presents are wrapped
People feel as though they've Been trapped in a small crazy place
But the smile never comes off of Their face

The house is lit up
Everyone grabs a hot chocolate cup
And sits by the fire
They've been waiting all day to hear The Chrismas story-that is their desire
For they know afterwards as they Fall fast asleep
Santa will come
And give them something they can Keep

Through all the excitment and Through all the Christmas cheer
This is the holiday I have dreaded All year

For this is the first time in 17 years That you will not be here
