Daddy

He went away
thats what mommy said
he couldnt stay
someone else needed his love

they took him from me
i want to know why
these tears are for him
my way to say goodbye

i really do miss him
one last moment would be alright
i just want a chance
to see him on last time

why'd he have to go away
i needed him here
why'd he leave me
when i truly loved him

he was so great to me
always touched my heart
was there for me
right from the very start

but then he left
without a word as to why
but maybe just maybe
these tears will say goodbye

i think that the angels
pulled him away
so much love for one man
maybe thats why he went away

but i know in my heart
he will always stick around
he has become my angel
and he is happy all around

though i cannot see him
i know he is still around
and when i feel the world falling
he will pull it from the ground

i know that he loves me
i know i love him too
i know that he must miss me
but that his pain is through...
