In My Heart You'd Stayed

by Keith   Dec 26, 2004

I met you once,
Loved you twice,
Didn't make a move,
Didn't roll the dice,

You came over to the house,
On thanksgiving eve,
I wished and I prayed,
You'd be with me,

Eyes of chocolate,
Honeysuckle hair,
I knew I liked you,
You didn't care,

You'd met someone else,
In recent days,
But I'll always love you,
In my heart you'd stay,

Months passed,
The thoughts rolled in,
"I wonder how that girl
has really been",

Came up north,
Before Christmas the day,
And deep in my heart,
You had stayed,

I kept it to myself,
Didn't say a thing,
For you I had stayed up at night,
Maybe the phone would ring,

Saw you that night,
You'd dyed your hair,
I remember that smile,
And that stare,

For you the troubles,
Had started to sprout,
You've gotten into trouble,
Without a doubt,

Moved to Juvy,
For the next three months,
You'd spend your time,
With them c*nts,

But I'd loved you the same,
Since the very first day,
I loved you,
And in my heart you'd stay,

I visit your house,
Play truth or dare,
Do dirty things,
You didn't care,

I gaze into your eyes,
My worlds a haze,
I'm out of breath,
I fell in love again,

I wake up the next morning,
To find you gone,
You were my ray of happiness,
With you my sun had shone,

Driving home,
Two hours away,
Thinking about you,
To find In my heart you had stayed,
