The Samaritan Soldier

by Keith   Feb 28, 2005

His eyes of emeralds,
His voice of entire calm,
His look of secureness,
He left to fight a war,
A war in Vietnam,

He does it for no reward,
-Fight other men,
Hes killed hundreds and hundreds,
Happiness he does pretend,

"I want to do this"
He says with pride,
Explosions in the background,
Force his eyes grow wide,

As he carries off,
Another soldier,
From the fiery battle grounds,
He hears tanks and humvees

Omit ghastly sounds,
He does it for his country,
He does it for the men,
He does his job so well,
Happiness he does pretend

Good poem, it was an interesting topic that you picked.

    Five/Five

P.S. Thank you for your comment on my poem, thank you for the five, a few people must not like me because i got a low rating on probably what i thought was my second best poem. "Gods Lost Angel" will always be my favorite poem ever.
