Concrete Rose

by Stevi Loren   Dec 27, 2004

From the start of it all
She knew one day she just might fall
No one has ever done the harsh things her father has done
At such a young age he would tell her it was all fun
But once he raped her, her mind was somehow lost
She wasn't able to tell anyone because she didn't wanna to pay the cost
Her mother wasn't there
Everyday she was thinking life wasn't fair
She just wanted to be normal
Not tormented for years and years
She thought nobody could ever shed so many tears
All of her fears
Were now brought to life on just one night
This went on for years
But she had to a stop to this someone had to hear
Her father was taken away
And she had no family who cared
Praying that things would get better
She kept going to school
She definitely didn't wanna be a fool
As she got older she learned that life was a tough road
Everything that happened to her made her reach more for her goals
A concrete rose is what she came to be
Going through so many ups and downs
Let her know life is not easy as some might SEE!!!
