I've never been into religion either.. this little "prayer" is more like the standard poem than any of your other works.. although that's not what makes it better or worse - again, the depth of meaning is excellent, and its shortness was one factor that contributed to that.

I think god would have forgiven, lol, I'm not religious eaither, but nice work.
