Spiritus

by Elizabeth Ann   Dec 28, 2004

I'm not relgious, though with all the tragedy in the world today, and those loved ones laying unremarked I offer this.

********************

I’ve lied what your love has told...

Bare now the sun has passed.

Ye spirit hence has cast thee invisible.

Pardoned thence when over me

Unto God thine soul I must trust.

Amen.

I've never been into religion either.. this little "prayer" is more like the standard poem than any of your other works.. although that's not what makes it better or worse - again, the depth of meaning is excellent, and its shortness was one factor that contributed to that.
