Inside me

The evil within is a great one.
I feel it growing everyday
And I battle it always
A beast of unparalleled proportion

It causes me to think things I shouldn't
Do and say things I shouldn't
It causes me to fear and dismay over things god has well in hand

I am my best friend and my beast, my worst enemy
I am my own worst enemy I am my beast
And I hate myself for it
I fight myself and almost always lose

Split apart right down the middle
Good vs. evil a magnificent war
A war that’s been fort within
Where the only casualties will be my honor
My honor and self-respect
