She's lost

by shenoa   Dec 30, 2004

She's running
so far away from here
the need to just escape
the overwhelming fear

she's been running forever
the pain never seems to cease
shackled to her own self doubt
struggling so hard to be released

she's running from what
she doesn't even know
she's so scared to go back
sick of feeling so low

she doesn't know who she is
or where she truly belongs
scared of the life she's been living
locked inside this cage for far too long

she's lost in this hateful world
she's left with no where to turn
she wanders these broken streets
on every one, lessons she did learn

she's grown in this dark city
left alone with only luck
it's amazing she stayed alive
till the one day the needle stuck

death is her final escape
there is no more reason to run
she can at last rest in peace
now her father had finally won
