Starting over

You think that I'm going to come back
as I've done so many times before
well this time it's really over
I'm walking out the door

I'm leaving "us" behind
I'm starting over new
there's several reasons for this
but the biggest reason is you

You never really knew me
or even cared to try
so this really shouldn't bother you
me telling you good-bye

I'm such a gentle person
I want someone who's the same
I can no longer be with you
on you I'm placing the blame

So don't try to stop me from leaving
I'll never change my mind
hopefully soon you can forget me
and quit wasting all of my time!
