Lost

by Lipton   Dec 31, 2004

Soft... The crisp wind blows.
The petals of the rose fly,
Forever into shadow.

Soft... The mourning moon,
Bathing me in its pale light.
I walk in silence.

Darkness hides my tears,
I'm forgotten in my own mind.
Nothing makes much sense...

Entranced by all around,
It's like I've never seen life.
Just a world of death.

Breathe in the cold air,
A frosty puff answers me.
Close my tired eyes.

My mind sees nothing,
Just the darkness that was there.
Nothing seems to change.

Life seems hopeless, now.
I'm not who I thought I was.
I lift my pale face.

Inconcievables...
They are dancing within me.
Stare into points of light.

The stars... how charming,
Yet their beaming light scoffs at me,
I swallow hard, relief.

A heavy sigh ousted,
I shake my weary head.
I cry one more tear.

I make my way back,
Into judgment I now fall,
Forever, unsure...

wow... i'm speechless. i would, however, like to know... is this how you really feel? Or did this just flow out, as if you were another person?
    Talk to me sometime! haha...

You have drawn an intriguing contrast between the beauty of the night and the melancholy mood. I really liked the imagery you created here.
